Dr. Latha’s Buddha Mohadarshana inaugurated the tradition of writing epics in the 21′ century. A major work in Kannada this epic has won the appreciation of both the critics and the scholars As though Buddha was born in the land of Kannada the poetess has dealt it intimately that the divine persona of the Buddha endears itself to the lay and the learned alike. A work of all times, it was taken in procession placed on an Elephant in Mysore. Dr. Latha’s personal pilgrimage to places associated with the Buddha in India and Nepal has given the work as usual depth and sweep. in this literary master work of creative art the Buddha is looked at as the first ever harbinger of a welfare society that his portrait is simply grand and majestic. This work is indeed the result of Dr.Latha’s several years of study and research.
